X-ZELL CEO to speak at Bio Pitch & Partner Conference

Bangkok, September 2017 – Dr Sebastian Chakrit Punyaratabandhu Bhakdi, founder and CEO of Bangkok-based biotechnology firm X-ZELL, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the 2017 Bio Pitch & Partner Conference, which will be held as part of the Thailand LAB 2017 exhibition.

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, and Sunnyvale, California, X-ZELL is a Silicon Valley backed start-up specialising in early cancer detection that is working on a series of non-invasive blood tests capable of identifying circulating atypical cells in a simple blood sample, among them ultra-rare tumour-associated circulating endothelial cells (tCEC).

Dr Bhakdi will use his keynote speech to give the audience an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ tour of X-ZELL and reflect on the long and testing journey that saw a one-man start-up grow into a globally positioned enterprise with a game-changing future vision.

He will also give a sneak peek at the world’s first tCEC-based prostate cancer study designed in collaboration with Mahidol University’s Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, as well as a 1,000 patient study backed by the Thailand Research Fund (TRF).

Thailand LAB 2017 will be held from 6-8 September 2017 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
